中国气象科学研究院室内环境检测中心是根据中国气象局气发[2003]136号文件《关于同意组建中国气象科学研究院室内空气质量检测中心的批复》精神组建的全国气象系统开展室内小气候与空气质量检测、评价服务工作试点单位。依托中国气象科学研究院，设在中国气象科学研究院环境评价中心。其主要职责与任务是通过资质计量认证后开展北京地区民用建筑工程室内污染和室内空气质量检测服务工作。同时，承担全国气象部门室内空气质量检测工作机构的技术指导、技术咨询、技术服务及人员培训等任务；研究新的检测技术和治理方法；承担或参与有关标
